IO Informatics will not collect any personally identifying information except when specifically and knowingly provided by visitors to our site. IO Informatics does not share any personally identifying information to third-party vendors. IO Informatics is very protective of the privacy of its customers.
Cookies
We may place a text file called a "cookie" in the browser files of your computer. The cookie itself does not contain Personal Information although it will enable us to relate your use of this site to information that you have specifically and knowingly provided. But the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. IO Informatics uses cookies to track user traffic patterns (as described above). Our advertising system delivers a one-time cookie to better track ad impressions and click rates. You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. If you've set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you will receive the warning message with each cookie. Your Consent
By using this site, you consent to the collection and use of this information, described above, by IO Informatics. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
Safe Harbor Compliance
IO Informatics complies with the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries. IO Informatics has certified that it adheres to the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles of notice, choice, onward transfer, security, data integrity, access, and enforcement. To learn more about the Safe Harbor program, and to view IO Informatics' certification, please visit http://www.export.gov/safeharbor/.
Oversight and Dispute Resolution
The individual at IO Informatics who is primarily responsible for oversight and compliance is Robert Stanley, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Founder. Anyone who has a question, comment, or complaint about this privacy policy should contact the CEO:
Robert Stanley, CEO and Founder
2550 Ninth Street
Berkeley, CA 94710
(510) 705-8470

A request should include sufficient contact information, such as name, address, telephone number, fax number, and email address. We promise to make a good faith attempt to resolve any complaint or problem that you bring to our attention.
Please note that for the purposes of Safe Harbor certification, the term 'organization human resources data' refers exclusively to personal information about our organization's own employees, past or present, collected in the context of the employment relationship. It is fully understood that IO Informatics must select an appropriate third party to serve as its independent recourse mechanism (IRM) for Safe Harbor-related dispute resolution. Since our organization does not receive 'organization human resources data', we choose to use an outside arbitration and mediation mechanism offered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) that agrees to hear each complaint in compliance with the Framework(s). In any event, we will also cooperate and comply fully with the EU Data Protection Authorities (DPAs) to investigate unresolved complaints.
