IO INFORMATICS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE APPOINTMENT OF ROBERT STANLEY AS
PRESIDENT AND CEO

EMERYVILLE, CA April 4, 2007 —-- IO Informatics, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert "Bob" Stanley, co-founder and formerly Chief Technology Officer at IO Informatics, as President and Chief Executive Officer.

Bob co-founded IO Informatics with Erich Gombocz, the Company’s Chief Science Officer, in early 2003. Since that time, he built and managed the company’s software development team; worked closely with advisors and customers; served as Principal Investigator for the Company’s NIST Advanced Technology Program grant partnership; and achieved a strong intellectual property portfolio with a US patent granted and extensions and international patents in process.

Bob’s leadership skills and commitment to understanding and meeting critical customer needs, complemented by his strong technical background and deep experience in knowledge creation and management, will be a major asset to the company going forward.

Pat Rougeau, the Company’s former Chief Executive Officer began working with the company shortly after it was founded, getting the company off to a strong start with a world-class team, a great group of Board Members and Advisors and most importantly, a strong customer and market base.
